The Reebok Club C is actually a combination of two silhouettes. It combines the upper of the 1986’s Revenge tennis shoe with. The midsole of the Club C. This combiner-shoe was taken by Fulda’s 43einhalb and made part of Reebok’s “International Food” pack, that include collaborative offerings from Overkill and asphaltgold.
This Club C revenge is inspired by Ruì’s Restaurant, a famous London-based noodle eatery. Panda Ruì Bù always dreamt of becoming a chef in London’s finest restaurants. On breaks from his dishwashing job, he would he would prepare his family’s traditional dishes and would give them to his co-workers. They raved about them to him so much , that it spurred him to open his own restaurant. The design features a white leather upper accented by black suede stripes, intended to give the shoe a panda-esque vibe. The laces feature an all-over text print that oscillates between the 43einalb logos and the “The Cooking Panda. On the tongue is found a chef panda. The aesthetic is completed with a white midsole and outsole.
Like the other shoes in the collection, the food theme extends into the packaging, in this case a fold down take out box that packages the shoes, a menu and a pair of chopsticks.
The 43einhalb x Reebok Club C Revengs “Revenge of Ruì” is set to release July 27 at 43einhalb. The sticker price is set at $85 USD.
